  African Daisy Mix Seeds

Dimorphotheca aurantiaca - Flake

African Daisy is an easy, heat-tolerant annual with cheery mix of colorful flowers in yellow, gold, orange, salmon, apricot and white flowers that open by day and close at night. Spreading plants thrive in hot, dry areas, making this a western favorite. Excellent as a border or ground cover. Height 1'. Stunning plant and butterflies adore them. They love the heat and sun. Extremely drought tolerant and blooms profusely all summer long until hard frost. About 18 inches tall and about that much spread. Reseeds annual for gorgeous babies year after year. My granddaughter love this one in her child's garden.

Dimorphotheca is native to South Africa, but it has naturalized in parts of the southwestern United States. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. 75 days from seed to bloom. African Daisy can be a good winter annual to plant in zones 10-13 and a good spring/summer annual in zones 8-10. This plant will die at frost, but it can re-grow following spring if seed falls on bare ground.
